Location: Newmarket or Northampton (Pitsford) with hybrid working (2 days remote per week upon successful completion of probation).

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Duration: Permanent.

About The Role

Lycetts Insurance Brokers, part of Benefact Group, seeks a Senior Account Handler to manage insurance and financial services for our commercial clients and prospects. The role supports business development through quotes and cross-referrals. Join our expanding, purpose-led organization for career growth and an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with senior and account executives to manage client and prospect accounts.
  2. Handle incoming new business inquiries and prepare quotations.
  3. Identify cross-referral opportunities and develop relationships with professionals and insurers.
  4. Prepare documentation for meetings and presentations.
  5. Arrange appointments to meet cross-referral targets.
  6. Mentor team members and develop business opportunities.
  7. Maintain records using OpenGI and other systems.
  8. Manage renewal lists effectively.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  1. Develop in-depth insurance technical knowledge.
  2. Enhance IT skills; knowledge of Acturis is a plus.
  3. Ability to build cooperative relationships.
