Job description

Formula One Management Ltd is currently seeking an Esports and Gaming Account Executive to support F1’s current and expanding portfolio of gaming licensees and esports partners. This will involve supporting the day-to-day management and development of these relationships to ensure continued growth and smooth delivery in one of F1’s key areas.

The candidate will preferably have gaming/commercial partnerships account experience. They may have established relationships in the sector and/or an understanding of how to manage partnerships and deliver projects. They will be organised with a high level of attention to detail. A natural self-starter with the organisational skills to deliver against contractual requirements is critical.

The Esports and Gaming Account Executive will report to the Esports Manager and Gaming Senior Account Executive, and will involve collaboration with multiple stakeholders within Formula 1.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategic development of the gaming licensing programme to deliver key growth and engagement objectives;
  • Support in the day-to-day management of F1’s portfolio of gaming licensee partners (developers), including across in-game development, coordinating approvals of F1 and individual team IP, marketing and promotional activity and financial reporting;
  • Work with the F1 Sim Racing service providers to ensure timely and high-quality end to end delivery of esports tournaments, activations and events
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with partners and stakeholders, including all 10 F1 Championship teams, and internal F1 departments.
  • Develop a deep understanding of partner delivery timelines, commercial objectives, growth strategies and KPIs;
  • Support the wider team in developing and agreeing licence agreements and renewals;
  • Provide support towards the management of the budget, forecasting, collection of royalty reports and invoicing for licensees;
  • Overall administrative responsibilities for the team including upkeep of licensee trackers, managing the buy-in and approval process of the 10 F1 Championship teams, processing of internal and external F1 product orders and other ad-hoc requests;
  • Produce presentations and other collateral that help the wider team monitor licensee performance;
  • Support in the collaboration & coordination of the F1 teams on F1 Sim Racing participation
  • Assist with the coordination of all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of the strategy across all elements (incl. fan engagement, sponsorship, media rights, marketing, social media etc.)
  • Project manage certain aspects associated with F1 Sim Racing including the organisation of meetings, performance reporting and partner obligations, ensuring timely achievement of deliverables at all stages (e.g. technical delivery, event management) and the processing of POs and invoices for esports partners
  • Remain up to date with the latest industry developments and best practices

Specification Essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 2 years or more of partnership account management in licensing / sports rights holder and / or live event space
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience in delivering against licensing / partnership delivery targets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Good understanding of licensing business models
  • Comfortable with analytics, excel modelling, royalty tracking and forecasting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to travel if required by the business
