Willis Towers Watson is seeking an Account Executive for its placing team, focusing on construction-related insurances. You will service clients daily, provide technical guidance, and tailor risk management solutions.

Responsibilities include renewals, market submissions, and negotiating terms with insurers. Role requires strong client service, relationship-building, and analytical skills, with experience in insurance processes and IT tools.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive insurance knowledge with construction insurance preferred
• Strong client service orientation and ability to build client/insurer relationships
• Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication
• Ability to analyse situations and recommend optimal client solutions
• Experience with processes and systems supporting client service delivery
• Proficiency in IT systems (Microsoft Office as a minimum)
• Knowledge of data analysis and reporting
• Good presentation skills
• French or another European language is preferable
• Degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
• ACII or similar qualification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day client service and respond to requests from clients, insurers and third parties
• Deliver technical, industry and subject matter expertise as required

• Apply client knowledge to renew/place business in London and overseas markets
• Prepare market presentations and underwriting submissions as required

• Negotiate terms and cover changes with insurers and present to client
• Prepare reports and summaries using technical and client knowledge
• Attend key client and market meetings
• Collaborate with clients, insurers and overseas network to resolve issues

Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join us as an Account Executive working within WTW’s dedicated placing team, administering and arranging construction related insurances.

The Role

• Day to day client service, addressing requests and queries from clients, insurers and other third parties
• Provision of technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required
• Understanding client’s business and risk management needs and delivering them through the provision of ongoing service
• Understanding client’s insurance programmes and utilising them in accordance with the client’s insurance and risk management philosophy
• Maintenance of information on database
• Application of technical and client knowledge to preparation of documentation required to renew/place business within London and overseas markets (including MRCs, endorsements, etc.)
• Preparation of market presentations/underwriting submissions as required
• Interpretation and review of quotations, to ensure fit for purpose and meet client demands/needs
• Negotiation of terms and cover alterations with insurers and presentation to the client
• Completion of reports as required – applying both technical and bespoke client knowledge
• Completion of summaries of insurance for all interested parties (client/network) – applying both technical and client knowledge
• Attendance at key client and market meetings
• Working with clients, insurers and overseas network to address and resolve technical and other issues

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

• Comprehensive technical knowledge of insurance (and ideally, specifically construction insurance, but this is not essential)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with the client and insurers and maintain strong relationships
• Excellent client focus with proven experience of delivery of high levels of direct client service
• Ability to analyse situations and provide recommendations to identify optimum solutions for clients
• Experience of working with and adhering to processes and systems that support client service delivery
• Intermediate level of IT systems (as a minimum Microsoft Office)
• Intermediate knowledge of data analysis
• Good presentation skills
• Fluency in French or another European language is preferable but not essential.
• Preferably educated to a degree level or relevant industry experience
• Preferably with professional qualifications of ACII or similar
