Job description

As the founding Account Executive of an established EdTech company, you will need to wear many hats. You'll be the first sales hire, which means your role will be vital to the company's success. It also means there is endless potential for who you can become in the company. Dometrain has been around for 2 years, educating over 60,000 software engineers. We have been profitable from day one, we are fully bootstrapped (so we make our own destiny), and we have been steadily growing. This growth, however, is primarily (over 95%) B2C-based, and we aim to shift this percentage in the opposite direction. This role is fully remote in the UK.

£55,000 - £65,000 + Uncapped Double OTE

As the founding Account Executive of an established EdTech company, you will need to wear many hats. You'll be the first sales hire, which means your role will be vital to the company's success. It also means there is endless potential for who you can become in the company. Dometrain has been around for 2 years, educating over 60,000 software engineers. We have been profitable from day one, we are fully bootstrapped (so we make our own destiny), and we have been steadily growing. This growth, however, is primarily (over 95%) B2C-based, and we aim to shift this percentage in the opposite direction. This role is fully remote in the UK.

What You'll Do
  • Building the full sales cycle at Dometrain and establishing tooling and processes
  • Ownership of the full sales cycle with SMB to enterprise-level prospects
  • Develop and set a strategy aligned to the goals set that enables Dometrain's growth within existing businesses and building new business opportunities
  • Selling to many types of personas (most commonly HR, Learning and Development, or Tech/IT)
  • Lead commercial negotiations, close five-figure+ deals, and drive new ARR
  • Feed insights from the market back into product and GTM thinking
What You'll Have
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills both with customers and within Dometrain
  • Full sales cycle expertise with an emphasis on business development, heavy prospecting, building pipelines, pipeline management, developing mutual buying plans, and forecasting business.
  • Experience managing a pipeline and closing 5 & 6 figure contracts
  • Experience building or refining a sales pipeline
  • Expert in Solution-Selling, Customer-centric Selling, Strategic Selling, Challenger sale, Business Impact Selling and/or Value Selling.
  • The ability to travel, while not required, is encouraged. We run conference booths a few times a year, and it would be great to have you there.
Requirements
  • Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related or equivalent experience
  • Experience selling into the EdTech space will be greatly favoured
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced, Start-Up environment
  • Ability to adapt and wear many hats until we hire more executives and build a team around you
What We Offer

A base of up to £65k and uncapped double OTE with a highly competitive commission rate due to how instrumental your role will be. Our success is your success. We are not limited to how high we can fly, and we don't want to limit you either.
