Parker Franklyn in Leeds is seeking an Account Executive to take over an existing commercial insurance book and develop client relationships from day one. You’ll walk into an established book worth around £200k with room to grow as the retiring AE hands over accounts in the coming year.
A 15% first-year new business bonus is uncapped, and hybrid working is supported with two days at home. Applicants should be an Account Handler in commercial lines with experience of £30k+ premiums; Acturis
You’re already running the accounts. They’re just not yours yet.
If you’re a commercial insurance Account Handler, you’ll probably recognise this. The clients ring you. You know their renewals better than anyone else in the office, and you’re the one who sorts things out when they go wrong. But the name on the book still isn’t yours. You might have been told the step up will come. Maybe it will. This role is for you if you’d rather not wait to find out.
My client is a long-established independent commercial insurance broker in Leeds, and they’re now part of one of the UK’s fastest-growing broking groups. They want an Account Executive to take over an existing book of around £200k income. It’s mainly commercial property, with some fleet and package business alongside it.
That’s a proper start. You won’t be building from nothing or cold calling to justify your seat. You’ll walk in on day one with clients who already trust the firm. Your job is to look after them and grow the relationships from there.
There’s more after that. A senior AE is retiring in about 12 months, and there’s further business to hand on when that happens. If you’re ready for it, it can come to you. On top of that, any new business you bring in earns you 15% of the first-year income, and it’s uncapped. You don’t see that at every broker.
Think about where that puts you a year from now. You’d have a book with your name on it and your first new business bonus in the bank. In year two, you’d be picking up the retiring AE’s clients and watching your book grow again. The business is growing quickly, so there’s room to keep moving up if you do well.
You’re an Account Handler in commercial lines, ideally having experience of handling cases of around £30k+ premium, and you want your own clients. You might already be a junior Account Executive who wants a proper book to get stuck into. If you’re a strong SME handler without the bigger cases yet, I’d still like to hear from you. Experienced Account Executives are welcome too, and the salary reflects that. Acturis experience is preferred.
The process is simple: a Teams call first, then a face-to-face meeting.
