IDEX Consulting Ltd. in Leeds is seeking an experienced Commercial Account Executive to manage and grow an established book worth just under £500k.

You will deepen client relationships, retain accounts, and drive cross-sell opportunities across a diverse portfolio of commercial risks. You will generate new business with a target of around £60k and work with a supportive team, including an Account Handler, to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

Job description

An established book of nearly £500k, a competitive bonus structure and the support to grow your portfolio. An opportunity has come up for an experienced Commercial Account Executive to join a leading global insurance broker in Leeds.

You’ll inherit a book of just under £500k, made up of a varied portfolio of commercial clients. Manufacturing represents the largest sector, alongside construction, wheels and other commercial risks. Most clients sit within the £10k-£15k premium range, with flexibility to shape the book around your experience and strengths.

You’ll have a dedicated team supporting you, giving you the time and backing to focus on client relationships, retention and business growth.

The role

• Manage and develop an established commercial book of just under £500k.
• Build strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring a high level of service and retention.
• Identify opportunities to grow accounts through cross-selling and additional cover.
• Generate new business, working towards a target of around £60k.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver the best outcomes for clients.

What's on offer?

• Salary up to £80,000, depending on experience.
• An established book of business from day one.
• 25% bonus on first-year earnings from new and recurring business, with staged payments subject to the scheme's conditions.
• An annual bonus based on book size or growth, whichever is higher under the scheme.
