dahling, a leading independent brand experience agency, seeks an Account Director to own and grow major global client relationships in the UK. You will shape opportunities, drive growth, and lead pitches while collaborating across strategy, creative, design and production to deliver commercially sound briefs.
You’ll manage scopes and budgets, forecast revenue, and proactively identify where the account can go next.
We’re working with an award-winning, independent brand experience agency looking for an Account Director to take a leading role across some of its major global client relationships.
This isn’t an Account Director role for someone who simply wants to manage accounts and oversee delivery. We're looking for someone who wants to get under the skin of a client’s business, understand where the opportunities are and help shape the creative thinking that comes next.
You’ll sit at the heart of the relationship between client, strategy, creative, design and production turning business challenges into strong briefs, championing ambitious ideas and bringing clients with you. You’ll be comfortable challenging thinking, selling creative work and finding the balance between what’s creatively exciting and what makes commercial sense.
There’s also a significant growth element to the role. You’ll be expected to understand where an account can go next, build a plan around it and proactively create opportunities rather than waiting for briefs to arrive. You’ll be involved in pitches and new business, while retaining ownership of the commercial fundamentals across your accounts, from scopes and budgets through to forecasting and revenue.
The agency works extensively within brand experience, events and experiential, with technology and innovation playing an important role in its work. For that reason, they’re looking for someone with around 10+ years’ relevant experience and, ideally, a strong track record working with global technology brands.
Just as importantly, you’ll need to genuinely care about the creative output. They want someone who can talk as confidently about the idea and why it will work as they can about the scope, budget and account plan.
You’ll be joining a strong people-first culture and a reputation for ambitious, award-winning brand experiences. The agency is based in Surrey, with this role working from the office three or four days per week.
If you’ve built your career within experiential and brand experience and are looking for an Account Director role where you can have a genuine influence on both the creative work and the growth of the client relationship, we’d like to hear from you.
