Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Account Development Manager to cover predominantly the South East England region. You will identify, qualify and secure new business for our expanding equipment range, with emphasis on water treatment, construction and civil engineering sectors.

You will develop long-term client relationships, gain a deep understanding of our product portfolio and actively drive marketing initiatives and revenue growth, with a competitive salary and industry-leading commission

Qualifications

• Successful years working in a technical field sales environment, ideally with equipment rental, construction, temporary power and/or pump industry experience.
• Expertise and passion for prospecting new clients and securing quality business.
• Desire to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving field sales environment.
• Outstanding organisational, time management, verbal, written and IT skills.
• Educated to Bachelor Degree level or demonstrating proven professional success.
• Full driving license, living in the sales territory and willing to travel widely throughout the region.

Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and secure new business – lots of it – through energetic lead generation, thorough follow-up and skilled negotiation.
• Develop and secure long term customer relationships for mutual benefit.
• Achieve a deep understanding of our unique product and service range to out-maneuver all competitors.
• Actively drive marketing initiatives such as campaigns, product launches and trade shows.
• Deliver on our ambitious revenue growth plans and share the rewards through our generous commission scheme.
