Job description

In this role, you’ll become an expert in the offerings of some of the world’s leading technology vendors—the companies behind the tools, software, and platforms that power modern businesses. You’ll use that knowledge to support both our customers and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor and helping clients identify the right technology to support their work.

This position is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of experience in sales or customer service who is curious, commercially minded, and eager to develop deep knowledge of the tech industry. You’ll have the opportunity to grow your skills in solution selling, relationship building, and consultative support—while making a meaningful impact for the businesses we serve.

Your role as an Account Executive will involve:
  1. Developing exceptional business relationships within your customer base
  2. Becoming a Trusted Advisor for both internal and external customers
  3. Understanding your customer’s business model, structure, goals, and objectives
  4. Supporting customers in managing their orders from initiation to delivery, including updates on significant changes
  5. Providing information on product and service offerings from vendors
  6. Advising on product availability, discontinuation, and special offers
  7. Ensuring customer accounts are up-to-date with payments or credit, collaborating with finance as needed
  8. Managing, developing, and monitoring deal progress accurately
  9. Participating in sales focus days at Ingram Micro as required
To succeed in this role, you should have:
  • Previous experience in sales, account management, or administrative roles with a proven track record of success
  • Effective communication skills over the phone, email, and face-to-face interactions
  • Drive and motivation to understand your subject matter and keep up with new technology releases in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency in PC skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); CRM experience is a plus
  • A desire and ability to understand and improve systems, programs, and processes
