Job summary

Pulse Nursing is seeking an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse to join the Harrogate area emergency department. You will deliver urgent and critical care, triaging, stabilising patients and supporting a busy clinical team in North Yorkshire.

They offer flexible shifts, including days, nights and weekends, with competitive pay ranging £22.00–£39.37 per hour and a £500 Refer a Friend bonus. Valid NMC registration and DBS are required.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible and reliable, willing to work across shifts including nights, weekends and days.
• Current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check or ability to obtain DBS.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritising care based on the severity.
• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilise patients, providing life‑saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring vital signs and recording changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.

As an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse in the Harrogate area? You will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, providing life‑saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
