Job summary

Pulse Healthcare seeks an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse to join our Band 5 team in Harlow, Essex. You will be part of the Emergency Department delivering urgent care, triage and life-saving interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires valid NMC registration, flexibility for nights and weekends, and DBS clearance. We offer supportive recruitment, access to experienced consultants, and a £500 Refer a Friend bonus to reward referrals.

Band 5 - Accident & Emergency (A&E) - Harlow

Job Title: Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse Banding: Band 5 Location: Harlow, Essex Rate: £23.00 - £35.00 per hour

As an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team in Harlow, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritizing care based on the severity of their condition.
• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilize patients, providing life-saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.
• £500 Refer a Friend Bonus: Refer other healthcare professionals and earn a £500 bonus when they work with Pulse Nursing.

Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility & Reliability: Willingness to work across various shifts including nights, weekends and days.
• A current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check (Pulse Nursing can help facilitate this).
