Job summary

Pulse Nursing is seeking an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse for Stevenage. You will be part of the Emergency Department team, delivering urgent and critical care, triaging patients, stabilising conditions, and supporting doctors with diagnostics and treatments. You must hold an NMC registration and be flexible to nights, weekends and days.

A DBS check is required; training and support are provided. We also offer a £500 Refer a Friend bonus and a range of full-time, part-time, and flexible

• Current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patients on arrival and prioritising care by severity.
• Administering initial treatments and stabilising patients as needed.
• Monitoring vital signs and documenting changes accurately.
• Assisting medical team with diagnostics and results interpretation.
• Administering medications and IV therapy as prescribed.

Band 5 - Accident & Emergency (A&E) - Stevenage

Job Title: Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse Banding: Band 5 Location: Stevenage
Rate: £17.00 - £29.00 per hour

As an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritising care based on the severity of their condition.
• Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilise patients, providing life-saving measures when necessary.
• Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions.
• Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.
• Access to a dedicated consultant for support and advice.
• £500 Refer a Friend Bonus: Refer other healthcare professionals and earn a £500 bonus when they work with Pulse Nursing.

Requirements:

• Valid NMC registration.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexibility & Reliability: Willingness to work across various shifts including nights, weekends and days.
• A current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check (Pulse Nursing can help facilitate this).
