Job summary

The King Edward VI School is seeking an enthusiastic member of the Access Team to support students with additional needs and physical impairments. The role involves one-to-one or classroom-based assistance to improve access to learning, building positive relationships and promoting inclusive practice.

Working hours are 8.45am to 3.30pm on most days, with 8.45am to 4.30pm on Wednesdays. The school emphasises a supportive, inclusive environment and aims to help every student reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting students with SEND and/or disabilities.
• Ability to work in classroom or one-to-one with students to support access to learning.

Responsibilities

• Support accessibility to the curriculum within lessons and in the Access Room.
• Establish positive relationships with students and promote appropriate behaviour.
• Contribute to an inclusive learning environment and respond to pastoral needs.
