Job summary

Network Rail is seeking an Access Co-ordinator in Scotland to coordinate track access and isolation requests and manage the Delivery Unit Possession Plan. You will ensure compliance with planning requirements, deadlines, and safe operational delivery.

The role requires knowledge of access planning processes, maintenance techniques, and the railway environment, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Salary is £30,000–£31,000 and closing date is 19 August 2026.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all track access and isolation requests within the Delivery Unit, ensuring compliance with planning requirements and operational timescales.
• Produce, maintain, and manage the Delivery Unit Period Possession Plan, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
• Maximise the efficient use of possessions by identifying opportunities to optimise access arrangements and minimise disruption to the railway.
• Prepare and submit worksite and Temporary Speed Restriction (TSR) requests through the Possession Planning System (PPS), ensuring all submissions meet required standards and deadlines.
• Oversee the possession change control process, ensuring amendments are effectively communicated, assessed, and implemented.
• Process isolation requests and pass to the Isolation Planner.

The Access Co-ordinator will coordinate and optimise track access arrangements to facilitate the successful delivery of maintenance and third-party projects within agreed planning timescales. They will maintain ownership of the Delivery Unit Possession Plan, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective support for operational delivery.
