Job summary

St Bede's Catholic Voluntary Academy in Scunthorpe is seeking a dedicated role to support pupils aged 11-16 across KS3/KS4. You will work 35 hours per week during term time, 8:30am–4pm, to help students catch up and reach target grades.

The role offers opportunities to develop within the school, working flexibly across age groups with a supportive team and a strong Catholic ethos. October 2026 start on a permanent contract.

Job description

If you have experience of working with young people aged 11 - 16 and if you are passionate about shaping young lives and making a real difference in the classroom, we invite you to apply for this new role at St Bede's.

You will have a talent for engaging children and you thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment .

You will be working with children who are struggling to meet their target grades and provide academic support to allow them to catch up.

This role will have a focus on key stage 3, but may also include some students at KS4 - you will work flexibly across all age groups and abilities.

There will be opportunities to develop your career within the school which allows you to make a valued contribution to our children's learning.

This is a permanent role starting from October 2026. You will be working for 35 hours per week (8:30am - 4pm), term time only.
