Job summary

Artic Building Services Ltd is seeking a UCL AC Runner to support on-site operations in London. You will drop off and pick up parts, assist the Air Conditioning engineers, and visit suppliers to obtain equipment. A valid UK driving license is required.

The role includes potential to take the van home or leave it on-site and a need for flexibility in hours as the job demands on-site problem solving.

Qualifications

• Current and clean UK driver’s license (or Commonwealth license) required.
• Experience in HVAC/building services preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage own time and paperwork.
• Positive, can-do attitude to problem-solving on site.
• Flexible approach to hours and on-site problem solving.
• Commercial awareness to identify opportunities for additional works on site.

Responsibilities

• Dropping off and picking up parts and equipment around the UCL Campus and assisting Air Conditioning engineers on site.
• Visiting suppliers to collect parts and equipment.
• When idle, assist engineers with their work under supervision.
• Van may be taken home each day or left onsite.

Job Role: UCL AC Runner

Location: London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Permanent

Reporting Too: UCL Contracts Manager

Skills Required:

• Current and Clean UK driver’s license or Commonwealth (NZ, Australian etc.) driver’s license (as long as you have been here less than a year)
• Working experience from an HVAC and Building Services environment (not necessary but advantage)
• Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage their own time, works and paperwork
• Positive attitude “can do will do”.
• Flexible in approach to hours and solving problems on site
• Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works / sales when on site.

Job Duties:

• Dropping off and picking up parts and equipment around the UCL Campus and supporting the Air Conditioning engineers on site.
• Going to suppliers to pick up parts and equipment.
• When you have downtime you will be required to help the engineers with their work under supervision.
• You will be able to take the van home each day if you like or it can be left onsite.
