Job summary

Artic Building Services Ltd in London is seeking a Runner to support the M&E and Facilities Management team on university sites, starting ASAP. You will drop off and collect parts, assist HVAC engineers and help with on-site tasks from Monday to Friday 8am–5pm.

You must have a valid UK driving license, some HVAC/building services experience, and a proactive, flexible attitude. You may take the van home or leave it on site, reporting to the UCL Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

• Current and clean UK driving license (or Commonwealth)
• Experience in HVAC/building services preferred
• Ability to work in a team and manage own time and paperwork
• Positive, can-do attitude
• Flexible with hours and on-site problem solving
• Commercially astute, able to identify additional works on site

Responsibilities

• Dropping off and picking up parts and equipment around the UCL Campus and supporting the Air Conditioning engineers on site.
• Going to suppliers to pick up parts and equipment.
• When downtime occurs, assist engineers with their work under supervision.
• Option to take the van home each day or leave it onsite.
• Follow health and safety duties and site instructions.
• Perform tasks as reasonably required within role and site needs.

Location: London

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

Skills Required:

Current and Clean UK driver’s license or Commonwealth (NZ, Australian etc.) driver’s license (as long as you have been here less than a year)

Working experience from an HVAC and Building Services environment (not necessary but advantage)

Ability to develop and be part of a team. Manage their own time, works and paperwork

Positive attitude “can do will do”.

Flexible in approach to hours and solving problems on site

Commercially astute, driven to identify and generate additional works / sales when on site.

Job Duties:
