Job summary

ASCO Group Limited in Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead quayside operations across Albert Quay, Mearns Quay and Torry Marine Base, ensuring safety, service quality and cost efficiency.

You will manage teams, coordinate resources, drive continuous improvement and work with the UK Operations Control Centre to deliver the Business Unit plan. The role requires strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management while maintaining HSSEQ standards.

Qualifications

• Substantial operational management experience within logistics, ports or the energy sector.
• Valid full UK driving licence.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership to ensure quayside operations are delivered safely, efficiently and cost effectively.
• Maintain effective communication with operational teams, customers and stakeholders on activity and performance.
• Lead, motivate, coach and develop operational teams to achieve objectives and promote a positive working culture.
• Promote continuous improvement and personal development to support objectives.
• Raise safety awareness and encourage reporting, investigation and learning from events.
• Develop succession plans with the Operations Control Centre to support resource continuity.
• Manage relationships with tenants and regulators to meet HSSEQ expectations.
• Oversee asset, plant and facilities to optimise availability and reliability.
