Job summary

ASCO Group Limited is seeking a Site Supervisor / Lifting Technical Authority to lead operations at Peterhead quayside locations. You will coordinate personnel, contractors and lifting activities to ensure safe, compliant delivery and high HSSEQ standards.

Role involves planning, risk assessment, and coaching lifting personnel to promote competence and continuous improvement, with remote support where needed and strong customer focus to support Aberdeen operations.

Qualifications

• Operational management/supervisory experience in logistics, ports, or offshore environments.
• Experience leading teams and managing contractors and third parties.
• Experience with quayside operations, cargo handling and lifting activities.
• Experience implementing safe systems of work and Permit to Work processes.
• Strong knowledge of HASAWA, COSHH, LOLER and PUWER.
• Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership across Peterhead sites.
• Coordinate personnel, contractors and third parties, ensuring safe systems of work.
• Oversee efficient management and dispatch of offshore returned cargo.
• Plan and coordinate resources, equipment and activities to meet objectives.
• Lead and assure lifting operations, including lift plans review and approvals.
• Coach and mentor Lifting Focal Points and Banksman/Slingers.
• Provide remote technical support and contribute to lifting standards.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure HSSEQ compliance.
