Job summary

Academics is seeking an ABA Tutor to support pupils in Batley within specialist SEN settings. You'll provide targeted, individualised support to children with autism, communication needs, and additional learning needs, collaborating with teachers and SEN professionals to promote progress.

You will use ABA approaches to assist with communication, interaction, behaviour, and learning, breaking activities into manageable steps and reinforcing positive progress for each pupil.

Qualifications

• Experienced as an ABA Tutor or confident using ABA strategies with children or young people.
• Familiar with supporting autism, communication needs, or other additional needs.
• Patient, consistent, and able to tailor your approach to individual pupils.
• Confident providing focused one-to-one support.
• Passionate about helping children develop skills, confidence, and independence.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual and small-group learning support.
• Supporting children with autism, communication needs, and other SEND.
• Using structured learning approaches and positive reinforcement.
• Encouraging communication, interaction, and greater independence.
• Helping pupils develop positive routines and engagement with education.
• Monitoring progress towards individual targets.
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and wider SEN teams.
