Academics are seeking an ABA Tutor in Huddersfield to support pupils with autism and additional needs in specialist SEN settings.

Do you have experience supporting children or young people with autism, communication needs, or additional learning needs? Are you passionate about using structured, individualised approaches to help pupils develop new skills, confidence, and independence?

We are looking for ABA Tutors to work within specialist SEN settings across Huddersfield, supporting pupils who benefit from consistent, personalised support.

The Role… ABA Tutor

Working as an ABA Tutor in Huddersfield, you will support pupils on a one-to-one or small-group basis, working closely with teachers and other SEN professionals to help each child work towards their individual targets.

You’ll use your experience of ABA strategies to encourage positive engagement, develop communication and social skills, and break learning down into achievable steps. You’ll celebrate progress, however big or small, while providing the consistency and encouragement pupils need to thrive.

Your role may include:

• Delivering individualised learning and intervention activities
• Supporting pupils with autism and a range of additional needs
• Using positive reinforcement and structured approaches to learning
• Developing communication, social interaction, and independence
• Recording and monitoring pupil progress
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive engagement
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider SEN teams

You'll Be…

• Experienced as an ABA Tutor or using ABA-based approaches with children or young people
• Confident supporting pupils with autism, communication difficulties, or additional needs
• Patient, observant, and able to adapt your approach to the individual child
• Comfortable providing one-to-one support and following individual programmes
• Passionate about helping pupils develop confidence, communication, and independence
