Job summary

TRC Yorkshire is seeking multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team in the United Kingdom. Hours Monday to Friday with 09:00 starts, offering £17.61 per hour PAYE and overtime £24.99 per hour PAYE after 40 hours.

Tasks include collections and deliveries (up to 15 stops) and loading/unloading parcels at depots and customer locations. Role involves manual handling, device/software updates, vehicle manoeuvres, and adherence to safety rules with site-to-site coordination with dispatch.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 12 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Collections and deliveries required (up to 15 stops and 10 collections).
• Manual handling including loading/unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handle devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Push roller cages handling and assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision; shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and standards.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company policies to maintain road safety.
• Communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
