Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is seeking multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers for a well-known client in the Durham area. Roles are temp to perm with an 09:00 start, Monday to Friday. Pay is £16.05 per hour PAYE, based in Durham (DH1).

Responsibilities include loading/unloading parcels, using company software to update statuses, and performing vehicle inspections. Candidates must have full UK CAT C1 entitlement, DCPC, a tachograph card, and clean driving history.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with 7.5t entitlement (CAT C1).
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid.
• Max 6 points on licence, minor offences only.
• Understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Update delivery statuses using company software.
• Complete up to 30 deliveries/collections daily.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Adhere to traffic laws and safety policies.
• Coordinate with dispatch and logistics for timely deliveries.

The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Durham area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am start

Pay Rates: £16.05 PAYE Per Hour

Location: Durham. DH1

Job Type: Temp to perm.

The role:

• Manual handling heavily involved, including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Up to 30 deliveries/collections
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
  

Requirements:

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
• New pass welcome.
• Valid and up-to-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
