Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of our client based in the Radlett Depot for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Mon-Fri 09:00 starts. Location: AL2 2FL. Pay: £17.61 PAYE per hour, overtime after 40h £24.99 per hour PAYE. Role involves deliveries up to 15 stops and collections up to 10, with manual handling and using company software to update statuses.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Collections and deliveries up to 15 stops per run and collections up to 10.
• Manual handling including loading/unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Use devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Push roller cages handling as needed and assisting sites with movement.

The role:

• Collections and deliveries required (deliveries will be up to 15 stops and collections up to 10).
• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.

Requirements:
