Job summary

Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for a dedicated 7.5T Delivery Driver for our client, a leading Plastic Fabrication company in Uxbridge. This TEMPORARY TO PERMAMENT POSITION offers an opportunity to become a permanent employee after a 12 week period, subject to performance.

£33,000 per annum + yearly performance bonus. Hours: Mon-Fri 07:30-17:30. You will hold a UK Category C1 manual licence and CPC, be aged 25+, and show reliability and a professional customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• UK Category C1 manual licence (Cat C1).
• Valid CPC.
• Aged 25+ for insurance.
• Experience preferred but not essential.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting.
• Professional with excellent customer service skills.
• Reliability is essential.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle in full compliance with UK laws and company policies.
• Complete scheduled deliveries and collections safely and on time.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks; report defects promptly.
• Ensure all goods are loaded securely and strapped correctly.
• Complete delivery notes and records accurately.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service at every delivery.
• Safely load/unload goods using appropriate handling equipment.
• Keep the vehicle clean and professional; handle goods with care.
• Assist with warehouse duties when not driving.

TEMPORARY TO PERMAMENT POSITION

(opportunity to become a permanent employee after a 12 week period, subject to performance)

Monday to Friday 07:30 to 17:30

Duties:

• Safely and efficiently drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle in full compliance with UK road traffic laws, transport regulations and company policies
• Complete scheduled customer deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and within agreed timescales
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues promptly
• Ensure all goods are loaded correctly and securely strapped
• Complete all delivery notes, paperwork and electronic records accurately
• Deliver a professional, friendly and customer focused service at every delivery
• Safely load and unload goods, using appropriate equipment and manual handling procedures
• Maintain a clean, tidy and professional vehicle and ensure goods are handled with care throughout the delivery process
• Assist with general warehouse duties when not carrying out driving and delivery responsibilities

Interested in progressing your career? If you're the right fit, our client will support you in obtaining your Class 2 (Cat C) HGV licence after 6 months of service

Requirements:
