Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client based in Southampton. The role offers excellent hourly pay, ongoing work, full training, and a path to permanent employment with a leading logistics business.

Shifts include Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday with early starts. You will operate as part of a two-person crew, perform heavy lifting and home deliveries, and maintain records in line with tachograph regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C or C1 Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum of three months' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Flexible approach to weekend working.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and heavy lifting.
• Reliable, professional and punctual attitude.

Responsibilities

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries alongside a Driver's Mate.
• Delivering heavy goods and household appliances to customers' homes.
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting safely as part of a two-person team.
• Planning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficiently.
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
• Maintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperwork.
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location.
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Southampton.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, full training, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with a leading logistics business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, 7.5t Multi-Drop Driver, Home Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday - early morning starts from 06:00 or 10:00

• Rates of Pay: £15.31 per hour plus overtime available
