Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our established client in Guildford. This role offers steady, ongoing work with weekly pay, flexible start times, and competitive rates of pay.

You will operate 7.5 Tonne vehicles, complete 10-15 drops per day with a driver's mate, perform pre-trip checks, and ensure cargo is loaded and secured while complying with road laws. A valid C1 licence, CPC, tachograph card, and English proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence (essential).
• Minimum 12 months experience driving C1 vehicles.
• Driver CPC qualification and tachograph card required.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills.
• Strong communication with dispatch and customers.
• Professional and customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Complete RDC, brewery or parcel deliveries.
• Operate and drive 7.5 Tonne vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure cargo is loaded and secured correctly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams and customers.
• Report defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required.
• Complete 10–15 drops per day with a driver's mate.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Guildford.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay, and immediate starts with a well-respected logistics operation.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, Category C1 Driver, or Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £16.00 per hour basic
• £20.00 per hour overtime after 9 hours worked

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00 start times

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver are:

• Completing RDC, brewery or parcel deliveries

Essential Skills:

To be successful as a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' experience driving C1 vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences and no major endorsement codes
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good standard of spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping skills
• A good understanding of road traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills
• A professional and customer-focused approach
