Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client in Ipswich. The role involves multi-drop deliveries with a Driver's Mate, delivering heavy goods to customers' homes and maintaining safety procedures.

Shifts run Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday with early starts. The job offers excellent hourly rates (£15.31/h) plus overtime, weekly pay, and a strong pathway to permanent employment with a modern fleet and full training.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C/C1 driving licence.
• Valid CPC qualification card and tachograph card.
• Minimum of three months HGV Class 2 experience.
• Flexible weekend working.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop home deliveries with a Driver's Mate.
• Deliver heavy goods to customers' homes.
• Perform manual handling safely within a two-person crew.
• Plan routes and ensure timely deliveries.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and log deliveries.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records and paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service at delivery locations.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Ipswich.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, full training, and the opportunity to secure a permanent position with a leading logistics business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, 7.5t Multi-Drop Driver, Home Delivery Driver.

Shifts

Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday - early morning starts from 06:00 or 10:00

Rates of Pay

£15.31 per hour plus overtime available

Day-to-Day Duties

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries alongside a Driver's Mate
• Delivering heavy goods and household appliances to customers' homes
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting safely as part of a two-person team
• Planning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperwork
• Providing excellent customer service at every delivery location
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills
