Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Middleton team for a major parcel distributor. You will drive a Class 1 vehicle, handle collections, and manage route paperwork with daily start times around 08:30.

A valid UK licence, DCPC, and Digi-tacho are required. You must have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience in a 7.5 tonne vehicle, be UK resident, and able to travel to the site for shifts.

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience (essential).
• UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards required.
• Knowledge of Working Time Directive and hour management.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle.
• Carry out collections (handball and pallet).
• Complete standard route paperwork.
• Perform pre- and post-route vehicle checks.

HGV Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

• Driving aClass 1 vehicle

About you:

You will have yourfull UK Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience in commercial driving in a 7.5 tonne vehicle. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements. As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
