Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are seeking reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Middleton. You will handle collections and deliveries for one of the UK’s largest parcel distributors, with various shifts and immediate starts.

You need at least 12 months driving experience, a valid UK licence, DCPC and Digi-tacho card. Overtime is available after 40 hours with enhanced pay rates.

Qualifications

• Twelve months commercial driving experience is essential.
• You must hold a valid UK driving licence with up to 6 points.
• DCPC and Digi-tacho cards are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 1 vehicle.
• Carry out collections (handball and pallet).
• Complete standard route paperwork.
• Perform pre- and post-route vehicle checks.

HGV Class 1 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

About you:

You will have yourfull UK Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience in commercial driving in a 7.5 tonne vehicle.You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not acceptDD, TT, DR, CD, INendorsements.As a professional driver, you will have a good knowledge of the Working Time Directive and be able to manage your hours accordingly.

You will be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs) and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift.
