Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our client in Warrington, Cheshire. The role offers £15.25 per hour with overtime at £16.25 after 42 hours, and a Monday to Friday pattern with occasional Saturday shifts.

Paid induction, full training, and long-term opportunities are available. You will drive category C1 vehicles, perform up to 25 deliveries per shift, and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries across the North West.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence.
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.

Responsibilities

• Drive Category C1 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete 12–25 deliveries per shift to North West locations.
• Carry out vehicle checks before and after each shift.
• Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Take photographs to confirm successful deliveries.
• Communicate professionally with customers at delivery locations.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £15.25 per hour, overtime paid at £16.25 per hour after 42 hours, Monday to Friday work, immediate starts, paid induction, full training, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading company.

This would suit applicants who have worked as a C1 Driver, Category C1 Driver, Delivery Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Van Driver, or Truck Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.25 per hour
• £16.25 per hour after 42 hours (Overtime)
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• Occasional Saturday shifts during busy periods
• Start times between 05:00 and 06:00
• Approximate shift length of 8 to 10 hours
• Ongoing full-time work

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver are:

• Driving Category C1 vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing between 12 and 25 deliveries per shift to commercial properties across the North West
• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring deliveries are completed accurately and on time
• Taking photographs to confirm successful deliveries
• Communicating professionally with customers at delivery locations
• Resolving customer queries and reporting any issues promptly to management
• Adhering to all transport legislation and company procedures

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

• New passes welcome
• A valid UK Category C1 Driving Licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes
• No major endorsement codes
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Good punctuality and timekeeping

• Paid site induction provided
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
