Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for a 7.5T Driver in Livingston to join a well-established client, delivering sofas and furniture directly to customers’ homes and flats. You will work as part of a delivery team and handle heavy furniture throughout shifts.

The role involves manual handling, staircase movement where required, and a rota-based schedule with early start times. Immediate starts and weekly pay are available, with a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 is required.
• Experience delivering sofas and heavy furniture is beneficial.
• Comfortable with manual handling and stair deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5T vehicle safely and deliver sofas/furniture to customers’ homes and flats.
• Load and unload furniture from the vehicle.
• Move furniture through doorways, corridors and staircases as required.
• Work as part of a delivery team to complete daily routes.
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver to join our well-established client, delivering sofas and furniture directly to customers' homes and flats.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver who is comfortable with the physical side of furniture delivery.

The role involves working as part of a delivery team and will include heavy lifting and carrying sofas and furniture up and down stairs, so candidates must be comfortable with manual handling throughout the day.

Shifts:

• 4 days from 6, on a rota basis
• 6:00am - 6:00pm
• No Sunday working
• Rota provided in advance

Rates of Pay:

• £16.84 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 7.5T Driver will include:

• Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and responsibly
• Delivering sofas and furniture to customers' homes and flats
• Loading and unloading furniture from the vehicle
• Carrying sofas and heavy furniture items into customers' properties
• Manoeuvring furniture through doorways, hallways and staircases
• Carrying furniture up and down stairs where required
• Working as part of a delivery team to complete daily routes
• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
• Completing vehicle checks and relevant delivery paperwork
• Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely at all times
