Job summary

Flexible People Ltd is recruiting 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers for a well-known client in Basingstoke. You will work in a two-person team delivering sofas, beds, flat-pack furniture and other large items to homes, with some routes to the Southampton area.

Role requires physical fitness, a valid UK licence, Driver CPC and tachograph card. Full training and a driving assessment are provided, with a 5-day rota and 6am starts.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy goods.
• Own steel-toe-cap safety boots and a high-visibility vest.

7.5T Home Delivery Drivers - Basingstoke.

Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers for a well-known client of ours, based in Basingstoke.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multinational organisation, with the potential for career growth and further opportunities.

The role involves working alongside a Driver's Mate to deliver large items to residential properties. Products include sofas, beds, flat-pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods and other large household items.

Please note that, although the role is based in Basingstoke, drivers may also be required to travel to Southampton to carry out delivery routes in the surrounding area.

Due to the nature and weight of the products being delivered, you MUST be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting.

The company offers customers a 'room of choice' delivery service, and full training will be provided.

Upon successful application, all new drivers will be required to complete a driving assessment and a multiple-choice Highway Code/tachograph exam. This will be followed by an induction day the following day.

Please note that drug tests may be carried out at any time at the client's discretion. A drug test will also be conducted during the assessment process.

Working Hours:

• 5-day rota - You will be expected to work at least one day per weekend.
• 6am start, with shifts lasting approximately 8-9 hours

Pay Rates:

• £20.43 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay
• £22.97 per hour for overtime

Requirements:

• Valid UK driving licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on your driving licence
• No DD, DR or NI convictions
• Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy goods
• Own steel-toe-cap safety boots and a high-visibility vest
