Job summary

CSS Recruitment & Training is hiring for a 7.5 Tonne HGV Driver to support construction-related logistics in Braintree, Essex. You will operate a 7.5t lorry, plan routes, and keep delivery records while maintaining safety standards. Training and support will be provided, with paid breaks and up to 50 hours weekly.

The role requires a valid UK Category C1 licence, CPC & Tachograph card, and prior logistics/construction experience. Own transport is preferred due to location and shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) HGV licence with a clean driving record.
• Current CPC & Tachograph Card.
• Previous experience in logistics or construction preferred.
• Own transport may be required due to location and shift times.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 7.5 tonne lorry in regulations and company policies.

• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records of transported goods.
• Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections and report faults.

HGV Driver (7.5 Tonne) Operative - Braintree, Essex

CSS Recruitment & Training are currently recruiting for 7.5 Tonne HGV Driver for one of our clients. This role will involve working in the construction industry collecting delivering goods various and different locations.

Pay Rate: £12.71 - £16.00 ph

Expected hours: 7AM till 5PM, up to 50 hours a week. (Breaks Are Paid)

Job Details

We are looking for an ideal candidate to who will possess strong and safe driving skills with mechanical knowledge. As well as helping to contribute to smooth operation for the logistics services of the client.

Duties include

• To safely operate a 7.5 tonne lorry in regulations and company policies
• Helping plan delivery routes efficiently
• Making sure to maintain accurate delivery documentation and records of transported goods
• Conducting pre-journey vehicle inspections to check and report any faults or issues
• Assisting with minor mechanical faults and basic maintenance
• Making sure all health and safety and compliance is met

Starting date - ASAP

Requirements

• Valid UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) HGV driving licence with a clean driving record
• Current CPC & Tacho Card which will need to be Valid
• Previous experience in the commercial sector, desirable within the logistics or construction industry
• Strong attention to detail
• Own transport preferred due to location and shift times. Public transport not available
