TSR Ipswich Ltd is seeking reliable 7.5T Truck Drivers to join our transport team in Great Blakenham. You will be responsible for safe deliveries to residential properties, pre-trip inspections, and maintaining high safety standards. Training is provided and newly qualified drivers are welcome.

Roles run day shifts with patterns Tue-Sat or Sun-Thu, with ongoing work that can lead to a permanent position. A driver’s mate supports deliveries and PAYE is used.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or lorry licences as required; max 6 points.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks and heavy lifting with safe practices.
• Excellent organisational skills to plan driver hours and routes.
• Good communication and professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to residential properties on assigned routes while complying with driving hours and safety regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report faults promptly.
• Secure cargo to ensure load stability during transit.
• Maintain delivery documentation and logs per company policies.
• Coordinate with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules and delays.
• Follow traffic laws and company guidelines on every journey.

Job description: TSR are seeking a professional and reliable 7.5T Truck Drivers to join our transport team in Great Blakenham.

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and compliance. Experience with Multidrop and commercial driving is highly desirable, and a strong focus on customer service is essential.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about driving and logistics to develop their careers within a reputable organisation.

We are looking for reliable drivers for day to work Monday to Sunday. The shift patterns are either Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.

This is an ongoing work which can lead to a permanent position.

About the role:

• Delivering to residential properties
• Manual handling involved, including potentially heavy loads, so must be physically fit and capable of carrying out the duties safely
• All necessary equipment and support provided to assist with heavy lifting
• 2.5-3 days of full training and induction provided
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply
• A Drivers mate will assist with all deliveries
• The role is offered on a PAYE basis only

Responsibilities:

• Ensure planned routes are effective supporting timely deliveries while adhering to legal driving hours and safety regulations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
• Secure cargo properly, ensuring load stability during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
• Follow all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company's guidelines and policies during every journey.

Qualifications:

• Valid UK driving licence suitable for heavy goods vehicles (HGV) or lorry licences as required. Maximum of 6 points for minor offences (No DD, DR IN, TT or CD offence codes)
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as securing loads on truck type.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan own driver hours.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customers and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to safe driving practices and delivering exceptional service within the logistics industry.
