The role supports both NPI and established production programs, working closely with Engineering and Production to meet customer commitments. You will read engineering drawings, select tooling, and optimise cutting strategies to ensure right-first-time manufacturing while maintaining

Qualificações

• Experience as CNC Machinist/Programmer in a high-performance engineering environment (aerospace/precision) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of 5-axis CNC milling and GD&T.
• Skilled in tooling selection, cutting strategies, and machining parameters for exotic materials.

Responsabilidades

• Set and operate and program multi-axis CNC milling machines for high-tolerance manufacturing.
• Select and set appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to maximise efficiency and quality.
• Read complex engineering drawings and GD&T to tight aerospace tolerances.
• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment.
• Maintain high attention to detail to reduce scrap and rework.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to improve manufacturability (DFM) for NPI products.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle times and boost productivity.
• Support introduction of new products and machining techniques.
• Perform routine maintenance / TPM on CNC machinery and adhere to 5S.
