Job summary

Theatre Practitioner role at a specialist orthopaedic hospital in Crowborough offers a four-day week (8am–6pm) and a strong focus on perioperative care. You will join an experienced theatre team delivering Scrub or Recovery care, with opportunities for professional development and safe, evidence-based patient care.

The successful candidate will have current NMC or HCPC registration and prior theatre experience, with support for orthopaedic skills development within a busy elective workload.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or HCPC registration as ODP.
• Previous theatre experience in Scrub or Recovery.
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to safe, evidence-based patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Scrub or Recovery care within a busy elective theatre environment.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual patient care.
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, theatre practitioners and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Support the safe and efficient running of operating lists.
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, infection prevention and patient safety.
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Participate in clinical audits, service improvement and ongoing professional development.
