Job summary
The Horder Centre in Crowborough is seeking a Senior Recovery Practitioner (Nurse/ODP) to join a four-day week, delivering post-anaesthetic care within a modern theatre department. This full-time role supports a varied surgical caseload, including orthopaedics, and offers a supportive, high-performing clinical environment.
You will work across four days, 8am–6pm, with opportunities to contribute to audits, research, and service development while developing your skills and patient care pathways.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RGN) or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP Level 3)
- Previous experience in a theatre environment
- Previous recovery experience
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based care
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centred care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient journeys.
- Contribute to clinical audits, research, and service development initiatives.
- Support safe, efficient theatre operations and optimal use of resources.
- Help create a positive, empathetic environment for patients, colleagues, and visitors
