Welbeck Theatre is seeking a Theatre Scrub Practitioner (Nurse or ODP) to deliver perioperative care in a modern, fast-paced environment. You will scrub and circulate across specialties, supporting safe procedures and patient-centred care throughout the journey.

You are a qualified Nurse or ODP with NMC/HCPC registration, confident in scrub practice, and able to lead and mentor teammates while contributing to service improvement.

Qualifications

• Qualified Nurse or ODP with current NMC/HCPC registration.
• Strong scrub practice across surgical specialties.
• Proactive, patient-centred approach and strong communication.

Responsabilités

• Act as scrub or circulating practitioner for a range of procedures.
• Deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care with patient emphasis.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care with the MDT.
• Maintain accurate clinical records reflecting care and outcomes.
• Follow WHO Surgical Safety Checklist and best-practice guidelines.
• Support theatre efficiency, list management and patient flow.
• Mentor junior staff and learners within the department.
• Contribute to audits, quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
• Ensure infection control, safeguarding and governance standards.
