Job summary

Rittal-CSM Ltd in Plymouth, Devon, is seeking a hands-on Team Leader for the 3rd shift (Sunday to Thursday, 23:00–07:00). This permanent, full-time role pays £19.48 per hour plus a 33% shift premium, and covers 37.92 hours weekly.

You will lead the production team, maintain safety and quality standards, coordinate handovers, and support continuous improvement. Essential qualifications include supervisory management level 2 and people management experience; SAP experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Supervisory management level 2 or equivalent
• Experience in people management and team development
• Experience in problem solving and supporting continuous improvement
• Health & Safety training for Managers and Supervisors
• Training in key leadership and people-management topics
• Recognising the Value of Your Team
• Chartered Management Institute Level 3 or equivalent (desirable)
• Lean Manufacturing / Quality Systems training (desirable)
• Mechanical Engineering knowledge (desirable)
• Experience using SAP or similar systems (desirable)

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
• Ensure materials, components, and information are available and correctly processed throughout the shift.
• Maintain strong shop floor presence, promoting safety, quality, and adherence to company standards.
• Coordinate shift handovers and communicate effectively with other Team Leaders and departments.
• Monitor performance, resolve issues, and elevate when needed to achieve daily targets.
• Oversee equipment checks, housekeeping standards, and support continuous improvement activities.
• Update records, audits, and systems (including SAP) accurately and on time.
