Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is recruiting a Manufacturing Shift Supervisor to lead 80 staff on a swing shift (6-2 / 2-10) across seven days. You will manage people, workflow, performance and health & safety in a fast paced production environment.

Meet production schedules and KPIs, drive continuous improvement, coach your team and control overtime costs. The role offers a basic salary up to £35,000 with a 12.5% shift uplift, plus a company bonus, a strong pension and 25 days of annual leave.

Qualifications

Experience supervising a large production team in a busy environment.
Strong leadership skills in manufacturing with a focus on safety and quality.
Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder engagement.
Ability to analyse processes and drive improvements under pressure.
Commitment to health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 80 staff focusing on people, workflow, performance, output, quality and safety.
Build a strong team culture based on communication, collaboration and engagement.
Guide team development and coach staff to reach potential.
Meet production schedules and KPIs to support departmental success.
Analyse production processes, resolve challenges, and make decisions under pressure.
Develop and implement operational plans, manage resources daily.
Hold daily meetings and provide performance evaluations.
Track KPIs and overtime to control costs and improve productivity.
