Job summary

Rittal-CSM Ltd in Plymouth, Devon, is seeking a Team Leader for the 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 07:00–15:00). The role leads a production team, drives safe, efficient manufacturing, and delivers high‑quality enclosures.

You will coach and motivate staff, coordinate shift handovers, maintain records (including SAP), and contribute to continuous improvement. Manufacturing experience helps, but strong leadership and people management are essential.

Qualifications

• Supervisory Management Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience in people management.
• Experience in problem solving and supporting continuous improvement.
• Health & Safety training for Managers and Supervisors.
• Training in key leadership and people-management topics.
• Recognising the value of your team.
• CMI Level 3 or equivalent.
• Mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing / Quality systems training.
• Experience using SAP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team to ensure smooth and efficient production flow.
• Ensure materials, components, and information are available and correctly processed throughout the shift.
• Maintain strong shop floor presence, promoting safety, quality, and adherence to company standards.
• Coordinate shift handovers and communicate effectively with other Team Leaders and departments.
• Monitor performance, resolve issues, and elevate when needed to achieve daily targets.
• Oversee equipment checks, housekeeping standards, and support continuous improvement activities.
• Update records, audits, and systems (including SAP) accurately and on time.
