Salary: £50,000 - £65,000

Overview

An opportunity is available for a 3rd Line Engineer & Team Lead to build and grow a team of support technicians supporting training systems for armed forces personnel.

Candidate Profile

We seek a skilled 3rd line support engineer with team lead experience eager to develop a new team of 2nd/3rd line technicians. This role offers growth in IT knowledge and management skills, requiring good leadership and communication abilities to mentor junior team members. A solid understanding of IT support is essential, with opportunities for training in relevant technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a support team
• Support training systems for armed forces
• Collaborate with remote teams across the UK
• Communicate with key customers to ensure contractual and KPI/PI compliance
• Create support processes and instructions for team and customer support

Experience & Skills

• Knowledge of military security, Protected Document Register, and JSPs (advantageous)
• Leadership experience
• Strong IT support and infrastructure knowledge
• Technologies: NetApp, VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Server 2019, Cisco/Juniper networking, McAfee, ITIL processes

Additional Information

Occasional engagement in projects outside the region may be required. Maintaining high customer satisfaction by understanding and meeting their needs within your support role is essential.
