Job summary

WR Engineering in Leamington Spa is seeking an Applications Engineer to support a portfolio of 3D scanning, additive manufacturing and digital manufacturing technologies. This hands-on, customer-facing role combines applications engineering, technical support, product demonstrations, training and equipment installation.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design or similar.
• Good working knowledge of CAD software.
• Experience within manufacturing, mechanical engineering, product development or technical support.
• Confident communicating and presenting technical information to customers.
• Hands-on problem-solving ability and strong customer focus.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, support and troubleshoot 3D scanning and additive manufacturing systems.
• Deliver technical demonstrations, training and workshops to customers.
• Support sales teams with technical advice during pre-sales activities.
• Provide ongoing applications support to existing customers.
• Assist with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Produce customer sample parts and support manufacturing projects.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, tolerances and technical specifications.
• Travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas.
