Job summary

White-Recruitment is seeking an Applications Engineer in Leamington Spa to support 3D scanning and additive manufacturing systems across UK sites. You will demonstrate, install and train customers while delivering high-quality applications support.

The role requires hands-on engineering work, strong communication with customers, and a willingness to travel. A degree in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred, along with CAD proficiency and a full UK driving licence.

Metrology Applications Engineer (486185) Leamington Spa, England

Salary: GBP30000 - GBP32000 per annum

Applications Engineer . Additive Manufacturing & 3D Scanning

Location: Leamington Spa
Salary: £32,000 package + bonus + car allowance
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am . 5:30pm
Travel: Approximately 30-50% across the UK, with occasional international travel

A leading engineering technology business is looking for an Applications Engineer to join its growing technical team, supporting a portfolio of advanced 3D scanning, additive manufacturing and digital manufacturing technologies.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role combining applications engineering, technical support, product demonstrations, training and equipment installation.

The Role

Install, support and troubleshoot 3D scanning and additive manufacturing systems

Deliver technical demonstrations, training and workshops to customers

Support sales teams with technical advice during pre-sales activities

Provide ongoing applications support to existing customers

Assist with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance

Produce customer sample parts and support manufacturing projects

Interpret engineering drawings, CAD data, tolerances and technical specifications

Travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas

Requirements

Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Design or similar

Good working knowledge of CAD software

Experience within manufacturing, mechanical engineering, product development or technical support

Confident communicating and presenting technical information to customers

Hands-on problem-solving ability and strong customer focus

Full UK driving licence

Experience with 3D scanning, additive manufacturing, metrology, CNC machining, injection moulding or prototyping would be highly advantageous.
