Job summary

Redkite Engineering Recruitment is seeking an Applications Engineer to support customers across the UK in precision metrology solutions. Ideally based near Derby, the role involves travel and hands-on demonstrations of metrology software to ensure high-quality manufacturing outcomes.

The candidate will assess technical needs, generate tailored solutions, run product demos, and train customers while expanding client relationships and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated, professional, approachable team player.
• Excellent communicator with strong time management skills.
• Experience in high-precision engineering or quality roles.
• Computer literate with Windows-based systems knowledge.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel (including overnight stays).

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert applications support to customers nationwide.
• Assess technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct product demos and train customers on advanced metrology software.
• Work on projects including program generation and gauge R&R testing.
• Support new business opportunities and maintain strong client relationships.
