A government agency in the United Kingdom seeks a MEICA professional to provide technical leadership for flood risk pumping stations. The role involves monitoring quality standards and liaising with various business partners to improve safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of engineering legislation and hold a relevant qualification in Mechanical discipline, along with a valid UK Driving License.
The Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) role is vital to the effective/efficient running of our flood risk pumping stations, water control structures and our wider business. You will be joining a MEICA team helping to prioritise, plan and deliver the maintenance or replacement of our crucial assets enabling flood protection to homes, businesses and the environment; which will have an increasingly important role as we face the challenge of global climate change. You will be working closely with external contractors to develop a world class asset management organisation.
The role will be responsible for providing strong technical leadership to assure technical and design standards. It will also be responsible for monitoring the quality and advising on the requirements to meet specialist MEICA technical, safety, legal, environmental and operational requirements, spreading across the geographic areas covering a diverse range of assets.
Joining our South East MEICA Team of mixed disciplines you will report to the MEICA Team Leader, acting as technical leader on MEICA activity and will participate in our response to flood incidents. You will provide technical mechanical support and direction to other team members and be responsible for liaising with a wide range of business partners and leading on actions on behalf of the MEICA Team Leader and Operations Managers.
