Job summary

Plumb Centre, part of the Wolseley Group, is looking for a Delivery Driver (3.5t) in Rochdale. You will perform multi-drop deliveries within a 50 mile radius, building strong customer relationships while following health and safety standards. The role includes warehouse tasks and a 40-hour week, with occasional Saturdays.

You must hold a full UK manual driving licence, with 3.5t multidrop experience being advantageous. A positive, team-oriented attitude and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Experience with 3.5t multidrop driving is advantageous.
• Familiarity with using a handheld PDA.
• Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
• Be a team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5t van for multi-drop deliveries within ~50 miles of the Rochdale branch.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with customers as a brand ambassador.
• Adhere to Health and Safety, perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload deliveries as required.
• Assist in warehouse duties when not on deliveries—unloading stock, picking/packing orders, stock checks.
