Job summary

Standard Bank of South Africa Limited is seeking a Credit Support professional to assist credit managers with day-to-day administration of their credit portfolio, in collaboration with the credit managers.

The role requires 1-2 years in Credit Risk and a First Degree in Business Commerce, with the ability to read financial statements. Applicants must be eligible to work in Isle of Man; relocation or sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• First degree in Business Commerce.
• 1-2 years experience in Credit Risk.
• Ability to interact with financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Support Credit Manager with daily excess management by investigating excesses and breaches, liaising with business stakeholders and escalating excesses and any breaches to Credit stakeholders for approval in line with the relevant policies.
• Prepare file for audit and CRA and other governing committees as and when required.
• Investigate the discrepancies on Reports with the Credit Manager and investigate all differences.
• Follow up on monthly reporting queries received from Finance, Capital and Business teams with regards to exceptions. Filter these reports for the teams.
• Ensure that limits loaded on systems corresponds with relevant credit sanctions and legal documentation at all times. Limit maintenance in the form of initiation of instructions for increases, switches etc as instructed by the relevant Credit Manager. Identify and investigate any limit discrepancies by way of limit attestation exercised, and correct any differences.
