Job summary

Matched Group in Warrington is seeking a 2nd Line Technical Support Consultant to support monitoring platforms and bespoke PowerShell scripts, ensuring incidents are resolved efficiently.

The role is on-site in Warrington with potential home-based weekends and a shift allowance. On-call duties may apply, reimbursed separately. You will contribute to delivering high-quality IT infrastructure support for UK clients and have opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Strong PowerShell experience.
• Familiar with XML and APIs.
• Document bespoke systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Proactive learner of new technologies.
• Windows Server, SQL Server, Hyper-V knowledge.
• SNMP knowledge.
• Nutanix and Linux experience.
• Familiarity with ITIL and SLA environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing monitoring systems and bespoke scripts.
• Innovate and extend our monitoring and automation systems as the business grows.
• Perform 2nd line diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
• Respond to customer support calls by providing regular updates and expectations throughout the resolution.
• Manage approved change requests.
• Accurately document incidents, resolutions, changes and customer communication.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with colleagues.
